The film is set to release worldwide on March 19.
Actress Nalini Speech
Actress Nalini said she had decided not to act in films again, but Karunas and his son Ken convinced her to act in “Youth.”
Initially she thought it was a small role, but the experience of working on the film was refreshing. The team treated her with great care during the shoot and helped enhance her performance.
She also revealed that for the first time in her career she went to a dubbing theatre and dubbed for her character, thanks to this team.
She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Ken Karunas, Karunas, and the entire Youth team, and wished them great success.
Actress Devadarshini Speech
Devadarshini congratulated Ken Karunas, saying his effort as both actor and director in the film is impressive.
She praised G.V. Prakash Kumar’s music, saying it will attract audiences. She also appreciated Nalini’s dedication during the shoot.
She added that while people have seen Ken as an actor, after this film he will be celebrated more as a director.
She also said that working with Suraj Venjaramoodu was a wonderful experience and thanked Ken for giving opportunities to many talents through this film.
Actress Meenakshi Dinesh Speech
Meenakshi Dinesh expressed her happiness about getting an opportunity to act in Tamil cinema through “Youth.”
She thanked Ken for selecting her for the film and said standing on the stage in front of Dhanush and Vetrimaaran felt like a dream come true.
Actress Priyanshi Yadav Speech
Priyanshi Yadav said the film is a dream project for the entire team.
During the shoot, the cast often spoke excitedly about the film’s release. Even though she didn’t know Tamil well, the entire team supported her warmly.
She said everyone worked very sincerely and requested audiences to support the film.
Actress Anishma’s Speech
“I feel very nervous just standing on this stage. Speaking in front of such a huge audience is a big experience.
I thank Ken for giving me the opportunity to act in this film. This feels like a dream film for me.
At such a young age, Ken has worked very hard to create this film. I feel very proud of him. I believe this film will bring a big change in his life.
I thank producer Karuppaiah and music director G.V. Prakash. I am a huge fan of G.V. Prakash sir’s music. I have danced to his songs at home. Acting in a film with his music now makes me very happy.
I also thank Suraj sir, Devadarshini madam, and the entire team. I hope this film becomes a success for everyone.”
Actor Suraj’s Speech
“Greetings to all the Tamil people. This is my second Tamil film.
I thank director Ken and producer Karuppaiah for giving me such a character in this film. Everyone in the film has performed very well. It was a pleasure to work with experienced actors like Devadarshini madam and Nalini madam.
The heroines Anishma, Meenakshi, and Priyanshi have also performed beautifully. I really like Chinna’s mimicry talent.
When Ken came to Kerala and narrated the story, he acted out the emotions of each character while explaining the story. He even showed the entire film in advance on his phone. At that moment itself, I felt like I had already watched the film.
I like Ken’s screen presence and smile very much. He will definitely become a big star in the future.
The producer has given great support to this film. I wish him to become a big producer in Tamil cinema as well.
I also thank actor Dhanush and director Vetrimaaran for attending this event. I have watched all the films directed by Vetrimaaran and hope to work with him one day.
This film contains many incidents that happen in our lives. The film releases on March 19, and I request everyone to watch and support it.”
Actor Karunas’s Speech
“It is a proud moment to see actor Dhanush and director Vetrimaaran together at this event.
Vetrimaaran introduced Ken as an actor, and Dhanush gave him the opportunity to learn direction. Seeing both of them here for him is a great joy for us.
When I first met Dhanush, he was very young. After watching the film ‘Kadhal Konden’, I said that Tamil cinema had found a great actor. Today he has won two National Awards and become one of the biggest actors in Indian cinema.
From my childhood, I have been meeting people on stage. If we truly love cinema, cinema will never abandon us.
Ken has worked very hard to make this film. Producer Karuppaiah and his team have created this film with great dedication.
I also thank G.V. Prakash Kumar for composing music for this film without asking for salary.
Finally, I thank every single person who worked on this film. I believe the film ‘Youth’ will be liked by everyone.”
Producer Karuppaiah’s Speech
“I have known Ken for a long time. At a time when he was going around narrating his story, I was also looking for a film to produce. When someone suggested a project to me, I decided that Ken’s story should be made first.
I heard the story and liked it very much. Another production house initially bought the project, but I still wanted to make this film. So I started producing it myself.
Ken has made the film wonderfully. The film has already been sold. It has come out very well.
I thank everyone who supported this journey, my family, the actors including Suraj sir and the heroines, and all the technicians.
I am a huge fan of Dhanush sir, and it is a great honor that he came here to wish us. My heartfelt thanks to Vetrimaaran sir and everyone present.”
Music Director G.V. Prakash Kumar’s Speech
“Ken is someone who learned under strict directors like Dhanush and Vetrimaaran. But he has made a fun youth film like a backbencher.
He has created an entertaining film based on school life.
Karunas was the reason I got the opportunity to compose music for this film. When I acted in my first film, he gave me a lot of confidence. That is why I wanted to work in his son’s film.
Everyone in this film — Devadarshini, Nalini, Suraj, and the three heroines Priyanshi, Meenakshi, and Anishma — have performed very well.
‘Youth’ will definitely be a good youth entertainer. My wishes to the entire team. I hope the film becomes a big success.”
Director Vetrimaaran’s Speech
“Working together as a positive and united team like this does not happen in every film. It happens only in certain films.
The reason for such unity is the confidence and mindset of the director leading the film.
Ken narrated the story in a very impressive way, explaining each scene meticulously along with music and emotions.
Ken is someone who has shaped himself as both an actor and director. The confidence and support given by Dhanush has given him great courage.
For Karunas and Grace, this is a proud moment. I believe the film ‘Youth’ will definitely be successful.”
Ken Karunas’s Speech
“I sincerely thank all the artists and technicians who trusted me and worked in this film. Without you, this film would not have been possible.
I remember the late director Thamira who first introduced me as an actor. I believe his blessings will always be with me.
I thank director Vetrimaaran who discovered my talent and encouraged me.
Whether knowingly or unknowingly, Dhanush sir has taught me many things. He is one of the main reasons I stand here today as a director.
I thank producer Karuppaiah and his team, and music director G.V. Prakash Kumar for their support.
The film ‘Youth’ will release on March 19. I request everyone to watch and support the film in theatres.”
Grace Karunas’s Speech
“My heartfelt thanks to Dhanush and director Vetrimaaran.
During the film ‘Asuran’, when Ken got a role, we wondered whether he could balance both studies and acting. But that opportunity became a great learning experience for him.
It is not a big thing to say that an actor acted well. But when people feel that no one else could have done that character better, only then he becomes a true actor.
Dhanush is like a ‘University of Acting’. Ken learned many things by being around him.
It feels like a dream that Dhanush has come to this event. The producer has invested greatly in this film.
The film ‘Youth’ releases on March 19. Everyone should watch and support it.”
Actor Dhanush’s Speech
“First of all, congratulations to producer Karuppaiah.
It takes great courage to trust a story narrated by a 23-year-old youngster and produce a film. Even if this film becomes a big success tomorrow, the first credit for that success should go to Karuppaiah.
Ken should always remain truthful to him.
Every film has an identity. Just like how Yuvan Shankar Raja was an identity for ‘Thulluvadho Ilamai’, G.V. Prakash Kumar will be an important identity for ‘Youth’. The fact that he composed music without taking money shows his greatness.
My wishes to Suraj, Devadarshini, Nalini, and the three heroines in the film.
Anishma performed very well in the film ‘Siraai’. My congratulations to her.
Cinematographer Vicky and the costume designer are also great strengths of this film.
When I first saw Ken in the film ‘Asuran’, I was not confident about him and even suggested not taking him. But in the very first shot, he performed with great confidence and surprised me.
The full credit for discovering him goes to Vetrimaaran.
At such a young age, deciding to direct a film is a big thing. When he told me he wanted to make a film, I told him it might be too early. But he has proved me wrong.
Earlier when we entered cinema, we were told to learn from seniors. But times have changed. Today’s youngsters are progressing very fast even at the age of 20–25.
Now we must learn from them.
Ken focusing entirely on his dream and family at this age is admirable. I wish the film ‘Youth’ becomes a big success and a blessing for the entire team.”
Release
