On behalf of Parvatha Entertainment, produced by Karuppaiah C. Ram and directed by Ken Karunas, who also plays the lead role, the film “Youth” — centered around school life — was released on March 19.

The film has received tremendous appreciation from audiences and cinema lovers, and has emerged as a grand success by crossing ₹50 crore at the box office.

To celebrate this success, the film team met the press and media today to express their gratitude, as the movie continues to run successfully in theatres with a festive response from the audience.

Producer Karuppaiah C. Ram said:

“Youth is my first film, and achieving such a huge success with my debut itself brings me immense happiness. Crossing ₹50 crore is an achievement, but the bigger success is that we were able to take this film to all kinds of audiences. Today, the film has not only succeeded in Tamil but also in Telugu, which makes me even more proud.

This film’s journey happened very quickly. We made bold decisions without overthinking. Sometimes, overthinking prevents decisions — but here, courage brought us success.

There was a time when I didn’t even have two rupees, and I survived by asking my mother for ₹1000 or ₹2000. From that phase to standing on this stage today — it’s not just my effort, but the support of many people.

Many people contributed to this film, and each one of them is a reason for this success.

People who watched the film were emotionally moved and even watched it three times. That emotional connection is the biggest strength of the film. Beyond Tamil Nadu, the film has received a great response in Kerala, Karnataka, and especially in Telugu states where we were not even known initially. With good marketing, we achieved big success there.

Many ask what next after such success. For me, success is temporary, but gratitude is permanent. That’s why I wanted to conduct this thanksgiving event.

Despite competition from big films, we believed that a good film will always be accepted. That belief brought us here. Ken remains the same person as he was at the beginning, and today everyone celebrating him makes me happy.
