L.S.S (Love Subscribe Share) is a romantic emotional drama directed by R. Mahalakshmi Murugan and produced by P. Raghu and Jones under the banner of JB Films, presented by Jones Presents. The film features music composed by Ashwamithra. The story aims to combine love and family emotions in a dramatic narrative.
The film marks Aadhav Krishna’s debut as the hero, Shiva. He plays a sincere, middle-class college student who dreams of becoming a proud son to his parents, portrayed by Padava Gopi and Vinodhini. Simran Advani makes her debut as Pooja, a wealthy North Indian girl studying in the same college. The first half focuses on campus life, friendship, and the gradual development of love between the lead pair. The college scenes are lively and create a pleasant atmosphere.
Pooja falls in love with Shiva because of his kind and respectful nature. He is focused on his studies and behaves with dignity towards everyone. His disciplined character becomes one of the highlights of the film. Both Aadhav Krishna and Simran Advani deliver sincere performances for newcomers. Their on-screen chemistry feels fresh, and they handle emotional scenes with genuine effort, though there is room for improvement in certain intense moments.
The story shifts to a more serious tone in the second half. After receiving Shiva’s parents’ approval for their relationship, Pooja reveals a painful truth about her mother, who left the family and remarried. Pooja decides to travel to Kashi to question her mother about her past decision. However, the film does not clearly show Pooja’s childhood struggles without her mother, which weakens the emotional impact of this track.
With Shiva’s family’s support, Pooja travels to Kashi along with him. After meeting her mother privately, she meets with a serious accident while returning and is left in a brain-dead condition. She remains in the hospital for a long period without immediate family support. A shocking sequence involving hospital staff attempting illegal activities adds tension to the narrative, but these scenes could have been written with stronger clarity and realism.
Meanwhile, Pooja’s father, Manipal, and her relative Sunil travel to Kashi searching for her. When Pooja fails to return to the lodge, suspicion falls on Shiva, and a police complaint is filed. The Kashi police take Shiva into custody, creating additional conflict. Later, he is released with the help of a known contact. The father’s disapproval of Shiva further increases the emotional pressure in the story.
The film touches upon sensitive subjects such as parental responsibility, remarriage, and emotional abandonment. While the mother’s character plays a crucial role, her reasons for leaving her daughter are not explored in depth. The screenplay raises several logical questions, and certain emotional scenes could have been developed more strongly to create a deeper connection with the audience.
On the technical side, Ashwamithra’s music supports the mood of the film, especially in romantic and hospital sequences. The background score adds emotional value to important scenes. Director R. Mahalakshmi Murugan makes a sincere attempt to present a meaningful love story with social elements. Although the film features fresh talent and an emotional storyline, a tighter screenplay and stronger character development would have made it more impactful. Overall, L.S.S (Love Subscribe Share) is a romantic drama with love, sentiment, and suspense, but it leaves some narrative gaps.
